There are athletes that let nothing get in their way.  Nothing.  These are the heroes in their own right, the ones who persevere in the face of impossible odds, against all discouragement, and past those that would have them fail – and all at record speed.

Competitive adaptive cycling has spiked in recent years, fueled by returning veterans of conflicts and wars in which service members have lost the use of their limbs, primarily the legs.  These unfortunate events have created a positive awareness for all differently-abled athletes.
